Now that I have my new website running I am looking for ways to monetise it. I do not yet know anything about affiliate programs. I am looking into that. I welcome discussion with anyone else who is starting out. That is the purpose of this post.
Don’t take anything in this post as “advice”. I know nothing of this topic, yet. (I will be updating this page as I go)
I found these articles an interesting start.
The basics

Miscellaneous
An advertisement that summarises the steps needed in blogging. A good read even though I am not thinking of buying

Finding stuff to sell
Still looking around for interesting things
Distributing stuff
I am still trying to figure how to put some some sort of “email follow” button on my website that allows me to send new followers a free e-book when they register for email updates.
I look forward to seeing what you do and how it goes. I have a goal of paying for the hosting costs of my blog (that way it is not costing me money). Currently I added Google Ads (as it was easy). So far it says 6 cents I believe.

I am still figuring out what to do next, and how to do it. I don’t actually know what to do yet. I will come up with something.
When I started, I had no idea how to even start a blog. That was solved. I now have a good start with a blog with articles, twitter followers and a week ago I learnt how to put up a icon for visitors to register for email update. Now I am trying to find out how automatically to send a free PDF book to to new subscribers. Right now, I am focusing on getting some subscribers.
And I need to figure out how to change the old name of controlyormoney to “Thrifty comfort”. Grrr
I upgraded from free WordPress to premium with my own domain this week. Now search engines are finding my blog, yay.
